There was a nice full page piece in today’s Guardian magazine on Folksy, to quote:
Homespun, recycled wares are a byword for cool in these straitened times. So right now we love folksy.com, an online collective of designers and craftmakers selling everything from knitted egg cosies to felt-covered journals – all oozing handmade charm. And if you’re short on ideas but long on free time, it even tells you how to make things yourself. Perfect for a one-off find – if you hurry.
So, hello Guardian people and thank you for liking us :)

I saw that! Great exposure, shame for the individual seller that the shop wasn’t named – though I’m guessing stock has now flown?
Great news! Well done to all. Thought you may be interested to knoe that I’ve got some stuff in Country Living next month, and I’ve given folksy as the contact, so hope that brings in a few more customer to us all.

@vintagetown, ooo, great! You’ll be the second person in Country Living. Must give them a call and say ‘hello’.
It is a shame the seller wasn’t named and yes, the item was sold out. We had about eight requests for the item even though it had sold out!
Hi James
Yes, please chase ‘em up! Perhaps a Folksy featurette? Celia Stuart Menteth is the woman in charge of Emporium, the shopping page my work is featured in.
does anybody have anymore ideas on geting the word out there? for example vintagetown how did you get your items to be featured in country living?

Its so cool that Folksy is getting recognition – its’ a funky little site and am really pleased to be part of it! xxx
Country Living definitely know about folksy. It’s how they found my items and how I’m in the april edition. Agree with vintagetown about getting in touch with Celia for a possible Folksy feature. Would be good coverage!
