A request from Kirstie

Kirstie Allsopp

We were recently contacted by Raise the Roof Productions, owned and run by Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer. Kirstie is making a new crafting series for Channel 4 as well as an accompanying book for the series.  This will be a crafting book full of projects and makes covering a range of crafting disciplines, sounds great doesn’t it?!  Kirsty’s team asked us if we could pass on a message to all of the crafters and makers at Folksy.com -

CALLING ALL CRAFTERS!

On Kirstie Allsopp’s brand new Channel 4 craft programme she will be meeting and working with some of Britain’s best crafters but this time she wants you to join her.  Do you have a passion for crafts? Are you an amateur artisan desperate to grow your talent?  Would you like to join Kirstie on her journey to learn new and amazing skills from master craftspeople?  If so, please contact craft@raisetheroofproductions.com for more details.

How exciting, and what a fantastic opportunity!  Leave us a comment and let us know if you will be applying…

  1. I’m with Lou! Would love to get picked but I guess there will be lots of applicants (especially from Folksiers). I watched her last series religiously!

Best of luck to all applying,

    Anna x

  2. Request sent! Not holding out much hope as don’t think I’ll really be what they’re looking for but no harm in asking. If you don’t ask you don’t get!!

Kirsty has always inspired me, this would be a great opportunity but there will probably thousands of applicants and these shows never come to N Ireland.

  4. Just about finished completing the application. It would be SO great if I was picked, but I’ve never won anything so am not really letting myself to get too excited. Good luck to everyone! x

  5. I didn’t ask for more info, I just went for it.

  8. I’ve emailed and asked how to apply! Can’t wait to hear from them! I know there’s only a slim chance they would pick me, but you never know do you! You have to be in it to win it as they say!

OMG how special would that be, dreams do come true. And how lucky will those people be? WoW! Good luck everyone.

This would be amazing, in those famous words….you’ve got to be in it to win it! It would be wonderful if some Folksy people got it to help spread the word too.

  11. She’s already covered stained glass pretty thoroughly on her Homemade Home series, but I’ll send an email anyway!
