A selection of items from our most visited shops this month.

Hello and welcome to another set of statistics from the Folksy team, we hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday!  May was a busy month at Folksy HQ as the new billing system was put in place and our Folksy press page was launched, you can read more about our new page here, June also means we have another set of category updates to share with you.

May 2011

  • May orders were up 24% from April, that’s a 74% increase on May 2010.
  • We had visits from 324,456  different people, this is an increase of 154% on May 2010 and an increase of 14% from April 2011.
  • The most viewed categories are Jewellery, Homeware and Art & Photography.
  • Congratulations to Hatastic, Caroline Rose Art, Oh my Honey, Pants and Paper and 100 percent delicate who were our most visited shops.

Folksy Press Page Launch

Our Folksy Press Page launched in May and we’re happy to see Folksy sellers being featured in more and more publications, since January this year we have seen a huge increase in press.  We are going to set up a direct link from the Folksy website, in the meantime you can visit the page here…

Here are the latest Category changes and additions, if you have any suggestions for categories you add them to our Category Forum thread.  The next category changes will be announced in September.

    • Kindle Case
  • Jewellery

  • Accessories
    • Handkerchief
    • Glasses chain
    • Fascinator
    • Hair band
    • Hair clip
  • Soaps and Oils
    • Bath
  • Clothing

We have also decided to remove ‘Children’s’ from the Dolls and Collectables section as we have a section for Toys suitable for Children within the Children and Baby category.

Tags for June/July

With all the great summer events coming up this month, some of our featured items on the homepage will be chosen around Wimbledon, Summer Solstice, Henley Royal Regatta and the Tour de France.  We choose our featured items based on a number of tags for each collection but items tagged with tennis, summer, boats, cycling and bikes will be featured in this selection.

    An extra press link stuff would be good, I missed being in March’s Essentials magazine as the enquiry got to me too late and they had already done the page layout by then! So speedy press responses really help
