New online magazine offers a refreshing and FREE insight into the world of handmade craft.

The Craft Tonic is a new E-magazine that celebrates the world of contemporary handmade craft and the indie seller.  This brand new publication offers interviews, hot picks, recipes, tips, how to’s …and better still, it’s completely free!

With an already loyal following after just two issues and the second issue gaining over 40,000 unique page views, The Craft Tonic looks set to be a permanent part of the UK scene offering a place for small industry folk to see and be seen.

Creator, Emma Metcalf says; “Our aim is to provide the craft community with a range of informative articles, ideas and inspiration. Whilst also introducing our readers to a showcase of new and established sellers from the diverse world of handmade.”

Textile designer and featured interviewee Jenny Arnott said “There was such a gap in the market for a beautifully designed, high quality e-magazine full of interesting craft features and gorgeous imagery – The Craft Tonic has definitely filled it, and I am delighted to have been featured.”

Emma, an online seller and illustrator, and previously a stylist, brings a wealth of experience to producing the magazine and creating its content.  “I love all things handmade and I’m passionate about giving other makers exciting and professional looking features in the magazine,” she says.  “I research, edit, lay out, create tutorials and photograph everything myself.  It’s a real labour of love.”

Issue three, due for release on Friday 1st July will contain interviews with Oakwood Soaperie, Dottery Pottery and Nikki McWilliams; a designer and maker with a serious love of tea and cakes!  With plans already in place for future issues you can also look forward to getting to know Ruth Clemens from The Great British Bake Off who thinks; “The Craft Tonic looks like a great little mag!”

Upcoming features include the coverage of campaign ‘Dress a Girl Around the World’ which appeals for readers to make pillowcase dresses for girls in Malawi.  Craft Tonic support the cause and will encourage others to do their same with some easy to follow tutorials.

The Craft Tonic is free to subscribers.
