We have an amazing opportunity to take part in a small number of product photography shoots with professional photographer Yeshen Venema, who is quite brilliant and will teach you how to take great photos of your products.
The plan is to run two sessions in London, the first on Thursday 13 March and the second on Friday 14 March, with two makers per shoot. We’re also hoping to do another later session with two more makers at our headquarters in Sheffield. The results of all the shoots will then be featured here on the Folksy blog as on online guide to help other makers with their product photography.
Yeshen is offering the shoots at a discounted rate of £100 per maker, and for that you’ll receive a full set of print and web-ready images, plus a feature on the Folksy blog – so extra promotion for your Folksy shop!
“This part of my work is in many ways the most satisfying – meeting makers who have awesome products, but less than awesome photography,” says Yeshen. “I’m genuinely excited to see what shots we get!”
If that sounds good, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your shop name and which session/s you can do – either 13th or 14th March in London, or a later date Sheffield (UPDATE: The Sheffield session will be on Thursday 27th March). We only have space for six makers, and ideally we’d like to those makers to represent six different disciplines, which means sadly we can’t guarantee a space to everyone who applies. We’ll let you know if you’re successful by Monday 24th February.
In the meantime, here is a selection of product shots Yeshen has done for other designers, makers and retailers to whet your appetite…
