Win a Lightcase and take super-simple product shots

by Camilla

lightcase

This week we came across a Kickstarter campaign that really caught our eye. It’s for a mini pop-up studio called Lightcase and we were won over by its simple concept and design.

Lightcase is basically a mini photographic studio that gives makers a quick, affordable and low-tech way to get clear, sharp and well-lit photos, without needing expensive camera equipment and lights. To use it just …

• pop up the case and click it into shape
• place it near a source of natural light
• choose your backdrop: frosted, white or black (or one of your own)
• position your object
• position your smart phone (or camera) either above or in front
• … and shoot

Back the project for just £27 on Kickstarter (or £22 if you’re quick enough to catch their earlybird offer) and get a Lightcase delivered to your door. Or… you could even win a Lightcase in our competition. We’ve got five to give away! To be in with a chance of winning one, just leave a comment on this post or email us at competitions@folksy.co.uk with the subject line “Smarten me up with a Lightcase please!”

The deadline for entries is midnight on Sunday 13th April. Five winners will be picked at random and the Lightcases will be sent out as soon as possible after this date.

The makers of Lightcase are looking for Folksy sellers to photograph using the product, who will then be featured on their website. So if you are based in London and happy to try out the product and be photographed at your home or in your studio between 7th-14 April, email dominic@crinson.com.
