This week Folksy HQ was saddened to hear of the death of John Hughes, director of The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, among others. He was responsible for getting many teenagers through their adolescence in the 1980s and his films haven’t lost any of their appeal over the years.
So, in tribute, the theme for this week’s featured items is Pretty in Pink.
The featured sellers have also been updated, and chosen for the high amount of pinkness in their shops. So please welcome:
- Tim Irving – beautiful prints from photographer Tim Irving
- Vintage Town – An eclectic range of handmade fabric items including tea cosies and bags made from vintage fabrics
- Helena Carrington – Helena’s illustrations and photography is driven by a interest in place and this geographical context gives it real depth
- Zoe Woods – Original designs for brooches and pendants feature strong, contemporary graphic details and distinctive colourways
