Well, Lovebox was fun. It’s fair to say that the vibe wasn’t really well suited to ‘making’ and was definitely more ‘taking’ [drink, music, er... other stuff]. That said, we made some great stull with the kids that were there.

We made map badges, mutant dolls, balloon bomb creatures and button bracelets. The badge making machine was a proper Fred Dibnah affair. It looked like it should have had a steam engine. Wonderful thing.

Aicia’s whale was my favourite ‘made’ thing. How cute is that?

And here are some of the team that were so great – Amy, Alice, Tiffany, Alicia, Anna, Cj and Debs. Thanks!

London, Lovebox and Light Rain

It’s festival season and we’re running workshops / ‘makes’ in a big tent at Lovebox this weekend in Victoria Park, London. Apparently it’s the biggest annual music festival in London but I’m not sure what constitutes a ‘festival’.

Anyhow, we have our straw bales, our LED bug stuff and mutant dolls, eight or so crafty workshop people and [checks list] loads of other stuff besides. What we don’t seem to have is the sun. The weather forecast for London says Light Showers [but looks like heavy showers from the icon]. It could be muddy. Bring wellies.

Don’t you just love this? It’s a digital print on linen from Askey on Folksy.

Anyway, If you are coming along please come and say “hello”. Chip in with making button necklaces or mutant dolls or LED bugs or some of the other things we’ll have on…

Lovebox hasn’t got the Folksy ‘feel’ that the Innocent Village Fete had last year but it looks like a more ‘entertaining’ event. Having said that, we form part of that ‘entertainment’ so I would say that :) I love this “Steam Punk Horse” from last years event, I want a ride on that…
