Something we’ve been wondering how to improve is letting you all know when there are problems with the service, we’ve managed this on a fairly ad-hoc basis before, either via the forums, twitter or a message on the site itself.
In order to improve things a bit we’re launching a new section of the blog, where we’ll post if the service is experiencing problems and update when issues have been resolved.
Visit “Folksy service status and updates”:http://blog.folksy.com/status
We’re still not 100% about the content that will feature there but it should include :
* Notifications of current issues
* Updates when issues are resolved
* Notifications of scheduled maintenance/downtime
* New feature launches and bug fixes
If you pop over there now you’ll see the first scheduled maintenance notice.

this will be great James, we can cope with problems, but we can’t cope with not knowing what’s happening. Thank you.
I can’t load Folksy at all – been trying to load my shop for the past 15 minutes and not even getting to the broken sofa error page.
odd – I felt sure I’d left an after-thought last night, but I don’t see it.
Anyway, what I wanted to know is HOW will we find this page? We need it to be linked from somewhere obvious.
@heather you did leave a comment (see http://blog.folksy.com/2009/3/13/page-load-errors-and-scheduled-maintenance). See my response there.
Thank you, we understand there will be hiccups everynow and again but telling us about them will keep us happy. It’s the not knowing that difficult.
