Hilary October 11, 2010 - 7:39 pm Vicky – go to edit page and then look at your applications – is it installed? If it is then go to the tabs on your page and look for the arrows at the end of the tabs, click on these to find the app. If you still have problems try uninstalling the app (go back to edit page) and then starting again. Made by Lolly – a few people have mentioned this as well – I’m seeing both your wall and your shop with no problems. Beady Pool October 11, 2010 - 8:39 pm Whooo hoo thanks Folksy. It doesnt show in the list or in the search box! Please help!! Hilary October 14, 2010 - 10:50 am Try looking at those arrows as mentioned in the post – it may just be out of sight as it can’t fit – you can order your tabs by dragging them into position. If that fails the best advice is to completely uninstall the application by going to application settings and then start again – it should only take a few minutes. I hope that helps – let me know if you have any problems. ScottishPrincess October 14, 2010 - 11:24 am I just added it to my FB fan page. I managed to move the tab to where it could be seen by dragging and dropping it but it all looked a bit weird until after I had added my shop name. As soon as I did that it all went back to normal with the tab in the correct place. Margaret anna jane collins October 14, 2010 - 6:46 pm hi, i’ve just installed the app, it appears in my ‘authorized’ app section, but i’m unable to add it to the tabs section on my profile… it doesnt appear when i select the ‘+’ icon and wont show up after i’ve used the search bar. Very frustrating! Jane (@Gaia Noir) October 18, 2010 - 10:24 pm I think Facebook must have changed what they’re doing with the Folksy app, because I’ve been going frustratingly round in circles with it for 3 days now. I’ve tried just about everything, and I don’t think it’s just me. The generalized ‘Applications’ section doesn’t seem to think a Folksy Store exists, the ‘+’ tab on my fanpage definitely does not display a ‘Folksy Store’ option even though the ‘Folksy Store Setup’ page keeps telling me to look for one, and searching that keyword or anything similar produces nothing (i.e. not even an error message of ‘Application Not Found’…it just doesn’t do anything at all!). I can see everyone else’s apps working so I know they work if they were already running, but perhaps actually setting one up is a no-go at the moment! maytree lane October 19, 2010 - 12:05 am glad it’s not just me then… Kerry Scott October 19, 2010 - 12:42 am mine’s worked beautifully! Hilary October 19, 2010 - 9:35 am Violet Imajen Jane and Maytree – are you trying to add it to a page or profile, Facebook is no longer supporting any applications on profiles unfortunately but you should be able to add this to a fan page. Chiyo October 19, 2010 - 1:51 pm i’ve added it to my profile page but it wont let me add to my fan page keep getting this message The developer of this application does not currently allow it to be added. will try again later :s xx Rachel (arbeecards) October 20, 2010 - 2:15 pm I’m having the same trouble as everyone else – it says on FB that the tabs won’t support the applications any more, but it will be moved to the left hand menu. Wondering if its just a more like a glorified link than a gallery… shame! Jane (@Gaia Noir) October 20, 2010 - 4:17 pm Nope, I’m definitely trying to add it to my Gaia Noir fanpage and not my private profile. It’s getting very frustrating, and I can’t think what the problem is. I haven’t fiddled with any wacko security setting since I got the fanpage that might disallow an application. Jane (@Gaia Noir) October 20, 2010 - 5:04 pm I actually can’t believe it – it just worked! :) Yay! I got taken to a different-looking setup page this time and it only took one click and a username fill-out. I still say the application was being buggy when I tried it before, though – and it’s also not yet showing up alongside the Etsy and Payvment applications etc, if you go to the general Facebook ‘Find Applications’ section. Hilary October 20, 2010 - 5:05 pm Hi jane I just checked and it seems you’ve managed to add it! :) The developer message only usually happens if you have no more fan pages left for it to be added to. This suggests that you have already installed the application – can you check your application setings by going to edit page on your fan pages and then seeing if the folksy app is in your app list. If so you need to follow the instructions in the blog post with regard to the arrows on the tab. If not please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org Hilary October 20, 2010 - 5:08 pm ha we must have posted that at the same time Jane! I have just removed and then reinstalled the application on one of my own fan pages and there seems to be no change – as I said earlier though please let us know if any of you need further help. The tech team haven’t submitted it to the directory list yet which is why its not showing up – it will be added in due course. Charlotte Hupfield Ceramics October 21, 2010 - 1:04 pm I’ve just added my Folksy shop to my facebook page, it really is so simple with just a few clicks! wow! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Charlotte-Hupfield-Ceramics/170168262997321?v=app_129518313726191 skyjewels October 22, 2010 - 4:29 pm i seem to be having problems too, when i click on the link back to my facebook it tkes me to my profile and not my fan page. but when i try to add and search folksy it does nothing, even when i hit enter, nothing, i have tried signing out of fb and starting a fresh but as soon as i click to add to fan page i have to sign which brings me back to my profile…very frustrating!! sam x MochiPan October 24, 2010 - 9:47 pm I doesn’t work for me! Click the + tab (located to the right of all your existing tabs) and select Folksy Store to add the tab. This is at the bottom of the list as a link in some grey writing. Once in privacy settings click on ‘edit your settings’ under apps and websites which is at the bottom left of the screen. Then click edit setttings and the list of apps will appear, then use the ‘x’ to delete it.
