Folksy Christmas Sampler

The Sampler

It’s here! Take a peek at the online version of our Folksy Festive Sampler showcasing work from some of the best craftspeople from around the UK.

20,000 copies of this year’s sampler are being distributed by our paper girls and boys who kindly volunteered to deliver them to various locations around the UK, from Falmouth to Inverness (we’ll also be sending copies direct to some crafty venues):

Who’s delivering in Plymouth? It just says paper boy/girl and I’d really really like a copy x

Hilary November 19, 2010 - 8:21 am

Hi Jesse, You can print a copy from the online version as it’s downloadable – let us know if you need help with that. We’re also awaiting a few more details from some of our paperboys and girls and will update the map once we have them.

No paper-people in Northern Ireland. :-(
*Volunteers*

Hilary November 19, 2010 - 9:17 am

Sorry Debz – we posted for volunteers a few weeks ago, stocks are quite limited – so please share the online version :)

Nice to see it after all the anticipation – it’s a more attractive format than last year I think, though of course sadly lacking in the meerkat department :-) Good luck everyone – here’s to many festive sales!

It looks lovely, and very professional, I think people will find it hard to resist, hopefully!

Leanne November 19, 2010 - 11:33 am

It looks great, if there are any left (doubtful I know) but I’d be happy to take some for NI.

I was going to volunteer but the places I asked wanted guaranteed delivery and I couldn’t do that until I’d the go ahead from Folksy but couldn’t ask for papers until I’d confirmed places to take them, god my head hurts just explaining it. Anyway, happy to take any that are left:)

Leanne xx

Sorry Leanne, I’m fairly sure we have distributed the lot! (apart from a few for the press etc) I think you will have to shout from the roof tops instead – or maybe just blog about it! (If you are ever confused about Folksy things email me or support@folksy.com )

There seems to be a gaping hole in the Dorset/Devon/Somerset area! I did volunteer!

Sampler looks great though, well done everyone!

I have put some in a couple of places in Northampton, more to come this weekend. They can be found at The Stitch & Make Studio on Burns Street and The Community Centre in Wootton. There will be more in The Fishmarket this weekend for the Bicycle Basket Bazaar and also the new Abington Antiques Centre which has moved from Abington Avenue to Abington Square opposite the Jaguar garage. RAH!

Sorry about that Flora we didn’t have any details recorded for you on the volunteers lists, did you complete the application form?

devinshire November 19, 2010 - 6:57 pm

I delivered another batch today, this time to my place of employment: Mandors Fabric Store! So here are the two Glasgow places where the Sampler is available so far:

1) Yarn Cake: 148 Queen Margaret Drive, Glasgow G20 8NY

2) Mandors Fabric Store: 134 Renfrew Street, Glasgow G3 6ST

More locations to follow. :)

Flora November 19, 2010 - 10:57 pm

Er, no… I just put my hand up when you first asked on the blog (in the comments), then kind of waited for someone to contact me. Sorry, didn’t realise about the form…

Sarah @ Folksy November 20, 2010 - 8:29 am

Thanks for the new locations of places to pick them up – I’ll add them to the map now!

Sorry that you’ve missed out Flora, we put a link to a form up on the blog so that we could gather everyone’s addresses and venues all in one place. Thank you for wanting to distribute though, we really appreciate it.

SarahWeekes November 20, 2010 - 6:34 pm

Aw, someone is delivering in lil ol’Bury. I hope I get one posted through my door :)

carol capaldi November 20, 2010 - 8:00 pm

This is great!! I can see myself up there in the north of Scotland!! Just left 50 in a shop in Aberdeen that is going to hand them out. Hopefully some folksy converts can come from it. I feel quite empowered helping small buisnesses like ourselves get some more sales:D

Linziloop November 22, 2010 - 11:43 am

Wow not many in Wales or Merseyside huh?! Maybe next year!

Jude November 22, 2010 - 6:49 pm

Some beautiful things in there – it looks really good and I think easily competes with the best that’s out there.

Jane November 24, 2010 - 9:57 am

Looks very professional & a great mix of items included too – REALLY appreciate the inclusion of one of my hoodies! Anyone know where the Edinburgh paper boy/girl is planning on delivering them as would love to pick up a hard copy. Jx

Glenn, SteamPunkGlass December 12, 2010 - 10:22 pm

Wow! It’s come around so soon, I was so pleased when I got mine and opened it up to find one of my razors featured this year! :-)
