This shop looks stunning, the pictures are sharp and jump out of the screen at you with their bright colours set against a clean white background. The beautiful detail of the stitching is so clear, and shows the care that has been taken to make these decorative and unique brooches.
Could you describe your shop?
Who does your Folksy shop appeal to?
My shop hopefully appeals to all women as I tend to have a wide range of customers from teenage girls to OAPs.
Is this your day job?
Applique Originals is my day job! I began making brooches, etc when my son was born and have never stopped since. What began as a hobby has flourished into a ‘stay at home’ business!

Have you been into craft and the handmade lifestyle for long?
I have been able to knit, crochet and sew form a very young age. Both of my parents were art teachers so I was surrounded by embroideries and paintings!

Do you have plans to expand your business in the future?
What advice would you give to someone thinking about opening up a shop here on Folksy?
Folksy is a superb platform for stocking hand made crafts and I would say it is the easiest site to list work when you are first starting out!
