ACEO

I hope you are feeling arty too, as I wanted to take the opportunity to spread the word about ACEO’s. I have hijacked today’s Folksy Friday and selected a few aceo’s we have listed here on Folksy.com to show you all.

It stands for Art Cards Editions and Originals.  They are tiny works of art that must measure 2.5″ x 3.5″ – I’ll let one of our sellers explain in more detail in this ‘What is an ACEO thread’ but basically they are very collectible little originals or limited prints sold by artists all over the world as affordable examples of their large scale pieces, although not in the same way that you would mass produce a postcard, these are one offs or limited editions.

Our Folksy community has really been buzzing with artistic inspiration recently as although this is by no means a new phenomenon, it’s been given a new lease of life here at Folksy by a growing group of community minded individuals who all have an appreciation for not just great art but the joy , challenge and often down right frustration of creating art.   I look after the Folksy forums, on a daily basis (just to check alls well with the Folksy community), and it’s lovely to see such enthusiasm from our buyers and sellers, rekindling a love of painting and drawing through collecting or producing aceos.

Click on the images and take a look at all the other great items these Folksy sellers have to offer too!

I love this FF, so good to see the ACEOs getting more publicity. I’m having so much fun seeing all this wonderful artwork from such amazingly talented Folksy artists at affordable prices so I can have my own art collection without having it taking up much space!:)
