2011 – International Year of the Forest

This selection of items are taken from just a few of our many items tagged with the keyword ‘Forest’. You may have been expecting fireworks, but we thought we’d go with this theme in honour of 2011 being the International Year of Forests. Not a paganistic festival with woodnymphs and faeries, but a global initiative from the UN to promote sustainable forest management, one important way of helping to preserve our planet for future generations. New Years Resolutions

We have had a fantastic year at Folksy.com with Christmas 2010 being our busiest yet.  Our Festive Sampler was a great success thanks to the hard work of all our paper girls and boys.  Thanks especially to our ex manager Anne who put the whole sampler together for us  – thanks Anne!

Most of all this New Years Eve, we wanted to raise a glass (or cuppa) and thank all of our members for their continued support of Folksy.  The community is  buzzing and we are really excited about 2011 and all the new developments we hope to roll out.

So, our New Years Resolution is a simple one, to continue to support UK artsists and crafters by making Folksy.com better than ever.

Cheers –  We’ll see you next year!

(you may now pull party poppers /open champagne / snog people)
