I Want To Ride My Bicycle!
This week’s theme is something I think about almost on a daily basis – bicycles! Being a resident of Cambridge I ride my bike everywhere. Unfortunately for me I am still riding the Pink Panther (as I like to call her) – the pink mountain bike I received for my 14th birthday, adorned with pink and purple plastic flowers. Now as a stylish (!) 27 year old I am filled with bicycle envy every time I take to the streets. Oh how I would love an old fashioned town bike (made with modern materials) with a lovely wicker basket and a bell that made a perfect ting-a-ling sound. I would of course spend every day cycling by the river, with the wind blowing in my hair, on my way to eat a delicious champagne picnic in the sunshine. In reality I would still be rushing between the library and the lab but on a stylish set of wheels! My bike envy is extending to Folksy and here is a selection of bicycle related items that I am coveting at the moment.
