…beside the seaside

I was over the moon when asked to post the Folksy Friday this week and I couldn’t wait to share with you my theme. My favourite place has to be by the sea or even by a beautiful quaint harbour. I love to see the ocean, the waves lapping onto the shore, the sea air, little fishing boats bobbing up and down and to hear the sound of seagulls flying over head. I really could go on and on! I had fun browsing through Folksy based on the seaside theme and I really was spoilt for choice from the range of items available to buy.

Folksy Seller“I’m Sarah and I come from a little village in rural Somerset. I, like many other crafters started crafting at an early age. I’m sure my grandmother has a huge part to play as I used to watch her paint pictures for ages when growing up and it is she who gave me my inspiration, so in a small tribute to her I named my shop after her, Iris May Designs. I started out making handmade cards quite some years ago and then not long after my addiction to beads and pretty jewellery pieces came along. I started off doing local craft fairs & fete’s and then friends and family said that I should really get my handmade jewellery and paper-craft items online. My current love is making pendants out of different coloured enamels to create little pieces of art. Each item is lovingly made and each piece is unique.”

Beautiful choices, Sarah! One of my favourite places to be, too ;o)

We’re going to move to the sea just as soon as our house sells (wanna house?) so I LOVE this! The ceramic harbour is just wonderful.
