A selection of items from the most visited shops in July 2011.
Hello, we hope you’re all enjoying your Summer so far. This is the time of the year when things get a little quieter on Folksy as the children break up for the summer and everyone goes on holiday. Here in the Folksy office we’re busy making preparations for our next large piece of development work so here is a mini update, we’ll be back in September with details of the development work which will lead us into the exciting Christmas period.
- Orders for July were up 74% compared to July 2010.
- We had visits from 577,386 different people, this is an increase of 41% on July 2010.
- Congratulations to CutiePies, Pants and Paper, Girl of the Sixties, Kirsty Elson Designs and Nikki McWilliams who were our most visited shops last month.
Maker Faire Competition
The first few entries for the Maker Faire competition have started to arrive in the Folksy office, we hope these will be the first of many. We’ve created a Flickr set which we will add to as more entries arrive. If you’d like to know how to take part in this competition you can read more on our Maker Faire Competition Post, the closing date is the 25th August.
Coming in September’s Update
We will have an exciting announcment about the site re-design we mentioned in our Gearing Up post last month so look out for details of that. This is our next large piece of work which will lead on directly from the site development changes we announced in July’s update so look out for our next monthly update on Monday 5th September.
How are we doing?
We’d like to know if this sort of update is useful, so do give us your feedback on how we could improve. See you next month!
