Pinterest is one of the fastest-growing social media sites right now… and one of the fastest ways to see a couple of hours disappear right before your eyes! It’s a place to find inspiration, discover amazing people and learn crafty new skills – and it also happens to be one of the best ways to ways to lead people to your own work and online shop.
Enter Pinterest Perfect. This book is a collection of 25 projects by eight artists, inspired by the creative DIY culture of Pinterest, combined with tips on how to use Pinterest and become part of the Pinterest community.
The artists sharing their tips and talent include American illustrator Amanda Wright from Wit & Whistle, doodler Flora Chang from Happy Doodle Land and British “cartoonist, writer, illustrator and all-round small person” Gemma Correll. The projects are fun and easy to follow, and each one comes with an introduction to its creator. Follow their instructions and you’ll learn how to make papercraft bows, create a chalkboard calendar and draw a cat, among other necessary life skills.
Tips on how to use Pinterest effectively are slotted between the projects in sidebars – how to see who is pinning your images, how to collaborate and build a sense of community and how to create original content are just some of the topics covered.
This book is billed as one-part inspiration and one part how-to, and we’ve got three copies to give away!
