Our Folksy makers are here to help you fulfil your role as Chief Activity Facilitator (spring/summer shift). For this tutorial we’ve enlisted Abi Simmons from Red Hand Gang, who has pledged to help tempt children away from their screens and into the big outdoors (or at least into the back garden) with her beautiful, printable Garden Wildlife Spotter’s Cards. So pencil cases and hole punches at the ready – you’re just three steps away from colouring in a woodlouse…
Print out your sheet of spotter’s cards.
Cut them out and staple the top.
Then make two holes either side with your hole punch.
Add some coloured tape to the top of your little book.
Trim all your edges to neaten them up and round the corners if you fancy.
Pierce the tape ready for your string to go through.
Lastly thread your string.
Send those kids out to colour in all the wildlife they spot with their new little books!
