Trends : Jungle Wildlife

by Camilla

We’ve joined forces with Mollie Makes – the barometer of what’s cool in craft – to bring you a regular trend forecast and keep your finger on the pulse of what’s happening. We’re kicking off with a trip into the animal kingdom… so binoculars, Panama hats and spotter jotters at the ready as Mollie Makes whisks you away to the rainforests of the Amazon and the jungles of India, via a quick detour to the plains of Africa – this trend report is set to be wild.

Wild things, you’re in luck! From flamingos to tigers, birds and beasts are making a comeback, adorning walls, home furnishings and accessories, as well as clothes, bags and jewellery. Issue 44 of Mollie Makes is packed with jungle-tastic ideas: zingy green elephant planters sit alongside a hotchpotch of wildlife printed on a make-up pouch. So go wild with clashing colours and exotic creatures prowling on prints. Wallflowers look away – this trend is not for the tame…

Oohhh…loving this theme :)
I think a jungle theme is just perfect for winter weight fabrics and textures.
