What Katie Sews
Katie is a web designer from London who blogs about her prolific garment making. She’s made absolutely masses of clothes over the years, if you want to be inspired to start sewing your own wardrobe, this is the perfect blog – it’s full of ideas.

A Million Dresses
This blog is a mix of dressmaking, fashion and baking (that’s a great mix!). Sarah started making dresses back in 2014 having blogged about fashion and her OOTDs since 2010 – she’s not quite reached a million but it probably won’t take her long! Lots of dressmaking inspiration in this blog.

Lauren Guthrie – Guthrie-Ghani
A finalist on the first series of the Sewing Bee, Lauren has a fabulous blog absolutely packed full with sewing inspiration. She shares lots of free tips and tutorials alongside details of her workshops.

Almond Rock
Amy has only been sewing since 2010 but she’s got so good she’s now the editor of the number one sewing magazine in the UK, Love Sewing. Her personal blog is full of inspiration. Well worth a look!

Gabberdashery – Living on a shoestring
Gabby is an old friend of Folksy, we featured her back in 2010 on the blog. She’s a super creative singer/songwriter but more recently she has become a dressmaking addict, she also blogs for the Minerva Crafts Blogging network where you’ll find loads of great bloggers!

The Thrifty Stitcher
Claire Louise-Hardie is the sewing producer of The Great British Sewing Bee, so as you might suspect she knows a thing or two about dressmaking. She shares sewing tips and tricks on her blog alongside details of her latest sewing courses.

Tilly and the Buttons
Another great friend of Folksy, Tilly spoke at our Folksy Summer School and since being a contestant on the Sewing Bee Tilly’s sewing empire has gone from strength to strength. Find loads of great tips and patterns on her blog.

Male Devon Sewing
Jamie is a stay at home dad who’s really got into dressmaking. There are loads of interesting posts to read over on his blog. Forgive him if there haven’t been too many recently though – that’ll be because he’s appearing in the new series of the Sewing Bee tonight!

Handmade Jane
Jane writes in depth about making her own clothes. She gives great, honest reviews of what works and doesn’t with the patterns she’s sewing and she also adds in tips – very useful if you’re going to try a new pattern. So if you’re trying out something new, check to see if Jane has sewn it first!

Sewmanju
Manju has a PHD in Toxicology, and as if that’s not impressive enough she is also an amazing dressmaker with a plethora of posts on garments she has sewn for herself and her family. Manju has loads of advice and inspiration for your own dressmaking, well worth following!
