Outstanding Piece Award – The Longlist
We are thrilled to announce the longlist for the ‘Outstanding Piece Award‘ at the Folksy Summer Exhibition 2024, sponsored by champions of craft Find A Maker, Fred Aldous and Pedddle. We had over 800 entries, which were whittled down to 132 exhibits, and our judges then had the challenging task of narrowing down the field to a longlist of just 20 exceptional pieces. Each one showcases the incredible talent, creativity and craftsmanship that our Folksy community is known for, making the selection process both inspiring and difficult.
The Folksy Summer Exhibition is a celebration of independent artists and makers from across the UK, and this year’s entries did not disappoint. From intricate ceramics and stunning textiles to innovative jewellery and vibrant paintings, the variety and quality of work were remarkable.

We want to extend a heartfelt congratulations to all the artists and makers who made it on to the longlist. Your work stood out among a sea of talent and has earned a well-deserved place in the spotlight. Next, our panel of judges have the unenviable task of choosing a shortlist of eight, to be announced on 21st August, before the final award is announced at the closing of the exhibition. We can’t wait to see who will be crowned the winner!
