Outstanding Piece Award – The Shortlist!
Exciting News: Here are the eight shortlisted pieces in the running for the ‘Outstanding Piece Award’ at the Folksy Summer Exhibition 2024.
We are delighted to bring you the shortlist of eight outstanding pieces for the Folksy Summer Exhibition 2024. After much deliberation, our fantastic judging panel from Find A Maker, Fred Aldous and Pedddle have selected these remarkable works from the longlist of 20.
The Folksy community is rich with talent, and every piece submitted contributed to the vibrant tapestry of this year’s exhibition so, as you can imagine, our judges had a really tough job of narrowing down the longlist to just eight. They each had their favourites, but in the end the shortlist was compiled by amalgamating their scores. Let’s reveal the final eight…

What’s Next?
The anticipation doesn’t end here! The winner and two runners-up will be announced on 28th August, so you’ll have to wait another week before finding out who has won the top prize. As well as the recognition and distinction of being awarded ‘Outstanding Piece’, they will receive a fantastic prize designed to support their continued creative journey.
The judges will be making their final decisions based on criteria such as originality, craftsmanship and the overall impact of the work. They’ve all expressed how difficult it was to choose just eight from such a talented pool of makers, which speaks volumes about the quality of the longlisted pieces.
