On this page you’ll find some tools and resources we’ve put together to help you tell the world your Folksy shop and the amazing things you in it. You’ll also find a selection of fab offers designed to make selling your work that little bit easier, plus some tasty discounts on craft supplies, magazines, books and tutorials. Enjoy!
Tell everyone your Folksy shop is open!
To make it super simple for you to tell the world about your new Folksy shop, we’ve created a tweet for you – just click below (you can add your own shop URL if you want to). It automatically tags us in your tweet too, so we can say hello!
We’ve also made a nice graphic that you can share on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter or add to your blog or website. Just click the pic or link below…
Your own Folksy Shop Widget
If you have a blog or website you can display the items for sale in your Folksy shop using the Folksy Shop widget. There are lots of options – you can have the shop widget as a column in a blog sidebar or install it as a mini version of your shop on its own page. It’s easy to upload – just head over to your Folksy shop dashboard and choose the option you’d like to embed > https://folksy.com/dashboard/widgets
Here are a couple of examples showing how other Folksy sellers have used it on their own blogs and websites:
Folksy badges and banners
We’ve got loads of sharable graphics, blog banners, badges and even printable leaflets, stickers and flyers to help you spread the word about your Folksy shop. These are a great way to tell people when you’ve been featured on Folksy too (you can see if your shop has been favourited or featured on your Shop Activity page https://folksy.com/profile/events)
We’ve teamed up with some awesome people to offer Folksy sellers special offers and discounts on things like business cards, brochures and leaflet printing, craft supplies, tutorials, craft fairs and trade shows, craft books and magazines and card readers for craft fairs.
If you need any help, our friendly support team are on hand to answer your questions. They are based in Sheffield and promise to get back to all enquiries as quickly as possible. You can also find lots of information and answers to FAQ in our Knowledge Base https://folksy.uservoice.com/
One of the best things about selling on Folksy is being part of a community of makers who want to help and support each other. So if you’d like to get tips and advice from other sellers, or just say hello, head over to our Forums. As a Folksy seller you will automatically be a member :)
Ask a question and chat with other makers in the Folksy Forum > https://talk.folksy.com/
We also run a chat on Twitter every Tuesday night where Folksy sellers can talk to each other. The topic changes every week – you can see what we’ll be talking about, catch up on previous chats and find our how to join in here > #folksyhour topics
