Hi everyone. Jess here! Probably the lesser-known member of the Folksy team. I’m writing this edition of weeknotes from the bottom left-hand corner of Somerset right now, 228 miles from the lovely Folksy studio in Sheffield. *Waves* hello up there!
I’ve been working remotely on Folksy support, or supportland as I like to call it, for almost a year now. Wow, it’s been that long? So by way of a little introduction here’s a peek at what I got up to this week.
Things are starting to settle back into a normal groove after Christmas and I’ve been helping to track down lost/delayed packages, a few forgotten logins and the odd bill query here and there. Nice to see lots of new sellers getting set up as well! At my side is my trusty Folksy notebook where I jot order numbers and other scribbles as I go.
I stole those little stickers from the Summer School – shh don’t tell anyone!
After my morning visit to supportland I spend the rest of the day working on my own little business, Jessica Joy, where I design, teach, write and make all things knitted. Hmm, I need to work on that title! So I spend the majority of my time here in my spare room office…
This week I’ve been working on some guest blog posts and knitting snoods for customers – it’s definitely snood weather out there today!
Like Doug I go for walks at lunchtime, generally via the post office if I have orders to send. Sadly I don’t have a cute pooch to accompany me, so I take my new boots out for some exercise instead.
And on that note, I hope you’ve had a lovely relaxing break and are ready to craft the year away. If you need any Folksy-shaped assistance, come say hi in supportland. Happy New Year!
